About Radio Lab
Hands-on training
Radio Lab is hands-on amateur-radio training for someone who may be starting from zero. You do not need a radio, earlier electronics experience, or the vocabulary of the license exam. It is practice, not a textbook and not a question bank.
Each open lab follows the same path: learn, see it, do it, explain it, connect it to the exam, then try a field task. New words show up inside that path, after you have had a chance to see the thing they name.
Where the curriculum starts
Technician and General are both part of Radio Lab. Technician Foundations, the eight labs on the dashboard, is where a beginner starts. General continues the same hands-on path after that curriculum. It does not assume ideas Radio Lab has never taught. You can begin at Lab 01 with no amateur-radio background.
Hardware stays optional
The lessons are the same whether you use them in a normal browser or on this computer. A radio is never required to understand or finish the core curriculum. This copy is running in local mode. When a compatible radio or SDR is actually attached, local mode may later offer a live lab beside the simulation. If it is not attached, the lesson stays in simulation.
Waypoint Deck integration is planned and separate. Deck is not required.
