Stage 1 of 6
LEARN
Foundations Lab 05 showed voltage, current, and resistance. These parts are the pieces that create those effects. Try each one. The models are simplified.

What common parts do, and how to read a basic schematic.
NOT STARTED
Work through the six stages. This is Technician Core, built on Foundations. Finishing the lab does not mean the idea is mastered, and it is not Technician exam readiness.
Stage 1 of 6
Foundations Lab 05 showed voltage, current, and resistance. These parts are the pieces that create those effects. Try each one. The models are simplified.
Stage 2 of 6
A capacitor stores a charge briefly. An inductor opposes a change in current. A relay uses a small coil to switch another path. A transistor lets a small control affect a larger current. None of these drawings is a full design.
Stage 3 of 6
A schematic is a map of electrical jobs. It will not look like a photo of the radio. Match the chain to the symbols, then name four of them.
Stage 4 of 6
Why is a schematic useful even though it doesn't look like the physical layout of the equipment?
Stage 5 of 6
RADIO LAB PRACTICE. These questions are about the parts you just tried. They are not official exam questions.
Stage 6 of 6
The portable radio is dark. Use the battery, fuse, and switch before you blame the radio.
